About
I am a midwest country-boy-turned-30-thirty-something husband of one and father of three. I am currently a graduate student in planetary science and have been working in the emergency services industry as a paramedic, firefighter, and 911 dispatcher for around ten years. My much less interesting decade-long tenure in IT services (dhcp, dns) is coming to a close this fall as we pack up and move the family from Ann Arbor to Cleveland so that I can continue school.
My friends consider me to be diverse and eclectic with interests extending from jazz trombone, to aikido, european swordplay, house construction, auto repair, flying, scuba, photography, and creative writing. Although my posts tend to be rants on societal or political conditions, I am actually a happy, optimistic person… but I do like to stir the pot and challenge the status quo.
