Marie’s parents threw an engagement party for us on sunday, and it ended up being a great meet-and-greet opportunity for family and other folks involved in the wedding. Too bad half of my guys either live out of town or were traveling… there was fire, food, cigars, and fireworks. Seemed like everyone had a good time, so thanks to all involved!

Well, it’s defininitely not been from a lack of activity that I haven’t written. School… house… work… wash… rinse… repeat. There’s actually been a ton of stuff that I should be writing about so that I can come back and read it years from now (gas prices, X-prizes, elections) and lots that I could write about (random thoughts, sudden inspirations.) But I seem to run out of time to actually get them jotted down. But here’s the summary of the most recent stuff:
Saw “Ladder 49″ last night with Marie. Loved it. I was particularly impressed with how accurate they were in regards to fireground situations and operations. The thermal layering of the smoke in one of the scenes gave me chills.
We also picked up Marie’s new Mazda 6 yesterday. Here’s a pic of it from the Mazda page and the link goes to a wallpaper-sized one.
